Dedicated to the memory of Clara Dixon
This site is a tribute to Clara, 12th May 1966 - 8th March 2023. Much loved wife, daughter, stepmum, nana, friend, colleague and mentor. Talented violinist for the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for 33 years, animal lover, avid runner, keen walker. Clara was taken from us too soon by oesophageal cancer and we have chosen Heartburn Cancer UK as the charity to fundraise for in her memory. She will always be remembered.

Thoughts
I first met Clara when I was 14 years old and on work experience with the BBC Philharmonic. I remember thinking she was one of the most glamorous, fun and friendliest musicians I ever met. I told my parents about who I met that week and how I had witnessed so much talent and enjoyment from Clara and her friends. I’ll never forget it.

Then we could sit on wine bench and talk and laugh a while
The thought that you are no longer here will always cause us pain but your always in our hearts until we meet again.
